数学与统计学院邀请张凯博士作学术报告　　　　2017年10月31日下午4点到5点半，来自英国的张凯博士在中关村校区中心教学楼844做了题为“Mathematical and computational questions on cryo-EM”的学术报告。张凯博士为结构生物学领域著名的青年学者，曾在Science，Cell，PNAS，Structure等杂志发表学术论文三十余篇，应邀在中国科学杂志发表介绍2017年诺贝尔化学奖的科普文章等。　　张凯博士首先从历届分子生物学领域的诺奖讲起，阐述了结构生物学的历次重大突破，以及冷冻电镜技术的优势。随后，张凯博士简单介绍了冷冻电镜的工作原理，数学背景，以及其本人在此领域所取得的成果。他的成果既包括高分辨率的蛋白质结构，还有一些集成算法。最后，张凯博士介绍了此前沿领域所需要的数学工具，并提出若干数学问题。　　张凯博士的报告图文并茂，内容详实，为今后与数学与统计学院的合作研究打下基础。 2017-11-01

[学术报告]Long time behaviour for a class of dispersive equations from physics--郭紫华应数学与统计学院张军勇老师的邀请，澳大利亚Monash大学的郭紫华副教授于2017年10月30日下午，在中关村校区中心教学楼844会议室为我院师生作了题为“Long time behaviour for a class of dispersive equations from physics”的学术报告。在本次报告中，郭紫华副教授结合自己的科研成果介绍了含二次非线性项的Klein-Gordon, Zakharov 以及Gross-Pitaevskii等非线性色散方程的解长时间行为的研究方法和成果。他首先从色散方程散色理论研究背景开始，然后介绍了含二次非线性项色散方程的困难所在，最后介绍他们最近通过假设初始值具有一定的角正则性的条件下建立改进的Strichartz估计从而得到新的散色结论，此外还提出了未来进一步研究的方向和想法。整个报告内容前沿，是国际数学的热门课题，讲解深入浅出、生动风趣。之后，郭紫华副教授与我校相关领域的研究者进行了充分的交流讨论，并给出了较为宝贵的建议，到会师生纷纷表示扩大了数学视野，受益匪浅。报告会后，郭紫华副教授与到会师... 2017-11-02
